Privacy Policy

PersonaDreams is developed and operated by Ali Mert Gulec, an independent developer based in Turkey, who is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

Account information. When you sign in we create an account through Firebase Authentication. You can start anonymously, or sign in with Apple, Google, or email and password. Depending on the method, we receive a unique user ID, your email address and, if you share it, your name. If you use Sign in with Apple with "Hide My Email", we only receive Apple's relay address.

Profile information you provide. To personalize readings we ask for:

• name or nickname;
• birth date, and optionally birth time and birth city;
• gender;
• relationship status;
• profession (optional).

Content you submit. The dreams you describe, questions you ask, chat messages, personality-test answers, and the readings generated for you (your reading history). For coffee-cup and palm readings you upload photos from your camera or photo library; the app only accesses the camera or photos when you choose to and after you grant iOS permission.

Credits and purchases. Your credit balance, subscription status and purchase history (product, date, renewal status). Payments are processed by Apple; we never receive or store your card or payment details.

Usage and device data. App interactions, screens viewed, feature usage, session length, app version, device model, operating system, language, approximate region (derived from IP address), crash reports and performance metrics.

Advertising identifiers. If you allow tracking in Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt, our ad provider may access your device's advertising identifier (IDFA). If you decline, the IDFA is not accessed.

Push notification token. If you enable notifications, we store a device token so we can send you reminders and daily readings.

Support communications. If you email us, we keep the correspondence and the email address you wrote from.

• to create and maintain your account and sync your profile, history and credits across sessions;
• to generate personalized dream interpretations, tarot, coffee-cup and palm readings, horoscopes, numerology and personality insights;
• to manage subscriptions, credits and restore purchases;
• to send push notifications you have opted into;
• to show ads to users who are not on a premium plan, and to measure ad performance;
• to understand how the app is used, fix crashes and improve performance and features;
• to prevent fraud and abuse and keep the service secure;
• to answer support requests and comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your dreams, photos or readings for advertising profiling.

Readings are generated by artificial intelligence. When you request a reading, the relevant text (for example your dream, question, and the profile details needed for that reading) and any photo you uploaded for a coffee-cup or palm reading are sent through our own server gateway, hosted on Cloudflare Workers, to the OpenAI API, which returns the generated reading.

Under OpenAI's API data usage policy, data sent through the API is not used to train OpenAI's models. OpenAI may retain API data for a limited period (typically up to 30 days) for abuse monitoring, after which it is deleted, unless longer retention is required by law.

Readings are AI-generated and provided for entertainment purposes only. They are not facts or predictions, and they are not medical, psychological, legal or financial advice.

We share data only with providers that help us run the app, and only as needed for the purposes above:

• Google Firebase (Google LLC): Authentication, Cloud Firestore (account, profile, reading history and credits), Cloud Storage (photos you upload), Analytics, Crashlytics and Performance Monitoring, and Cloud Messaging (push notifications). https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
• Google AdMob (Google LLC): displays ads and may use device identifiers (IDFA only with your ATT permission), IP address and usage data for ad delivery, frequency capping and measurement. https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads
• Sign in with Google / Sign in with Apple: authenticate you when you choose these options.
• RevenueCat, Inc.: manages subscription and in-app purchase status. https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy
• Apple Inc.: processes all payments and subscriptions through the App Store. https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
• OpenAI, L.L.C.: generates readings from the text and photos you submit. https://openai.com/policies/privacy-policy
• Cloudflare, Inc.: hosts our API gateway that forwards reading requests to OpenAI. https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of users, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of the app, in which case this policy will continue to apply to your data.

• Account, profile, reading history and credits are kept for as long as your account exists.
• Photos you upload for readings are stored only to generate and display your reading and are deleted together with your account.
• When you delete your account, we delete your account and associated Firestore and Storage data, normally immediately and in any case within 30 days. Residual copies in backups and provider logs expire on their own schedules.
• Analytics and crash data are retained according to Firebase's retention settings (analytics data up to 14 months).
• Purchase records may be kept longer where required for tax, accounting or legal purposes.
• Anonymous accounts are tied to your device; if you uninstall the app, that data can no longer be accessed and may be deleted.

Depending on where you live, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent at any time.

• Delete your account in the app: go to Profile → Settings → Delete Account. This permanently removes your account, profile, reading history, credits and uploaded photos.
• Or email info@alimertgulec.com from the address linked to your account (or include your user ID) and we will handle your request within 30 days.
• Edit your profile details at any time in the Profile tab.
• Turn off push notifications in iOS Settings → Notifications → PersonaDreams.
• Change your tracking choice in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
• Revoke camera or photo access in iOS Settings → PersonaDreams.

Deleting the app does not cancel an active subscription; subscriptions are managed by Apple (see our Terms of Use).

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Turkey, we process your personal data under the GDPR / UK GDPR and the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) on the following legal bases:

• performance of a contract: providing your account, readings, subscriptions and credits;
• consent: personalized ads and tracking (ATT), push notifications, and camera/photo access — you can withdraw consent at any time;
• legitimate interests: analytics, crash reporting, security and fraud prevention, and improving the app;
• legal obligation: keeping purchase and tax records and responding to lawful requests.

Under KVKK Article 11 you may ask whether your data is processed, request information about it, learn the purpose of processing and the recipients, request correction or deletion, object to outcomes of automated processing that are against you, and claim compensation for unlawful processing. You may send requests to info@alimertgulec.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in Turkey, the Personal Data Protection Authority — KVKK).

Readings are generated automatically by AI for entertainment; they produce no legal or similarly significant effects on you.

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose; to request deletion; to correct inaccurate information; and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

We do not sell personal information. Allowing ad tracking through ATT may be considered "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law; you can opt out at any time by turning off tracking in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. We do not use sensitive personal information for purposes other than providing the service.

Categories collected in the last 12 months: identifiers (user ID, email, device and advertising identifiers), personal characteristics you provide (birth date, gender, relationship status), commercial information (purchases and credits), internet/app activity, approximate location from IP, photos you upload, and inferences in the form of readings. To exercise your rights, email info@alimertgulec.com; we will verify your request using your account details.

We are based in Turkey, and our service providers (including Google, OpenAI, Cloudflare, RevenueCat and Apple) may process data in the United States and other countries. Where data is transferred outside your country, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and the providers' data processing terms, and, for transfers from Turkey, the mechanisms provided under KVKK Article 9.

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS), stored on Google Cloud infrastructure, and protected by Firebase security rules that restrict each account's data to its owner. Our AI gateway keeps the OpenAI API key on the server so it is never shipped inside the app. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data using commercially reasonable measures.

PersonaDreams is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 (or the higher minimum age required in your country, such as 16 in some EU countries). If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact info@alimertgulec.com and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the effective date, and for material changes we will notify you in the app. Continued use of the app after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
